Digital Stained Glass?

While searching for new and innovative stained glass projects, I  instead discovered an innovative new media company based out of London called, Lumacoustics.  They specialize in interactive spaces providing digital experiential media for events.

At an event, Bloc 2011, Lumacoustics designed an installation as an “arching digital stained glass that appeared to go beyond the stage floor”.

The display was designed as a modern twist on a 1850s Bristol Byzantine architectural style and was audio reactive with an endless combination of effects.

Innovative Hong Kong Architect Converts 330 sq ft Apartment into Functional 24 Room Home

Creative architect Gary Chang converts his 330 sq ft apartment into a fully functioning home, fully equipped with office, living room and guest bedroom.

Possibly  inspired by the film ‘The Fifth Element’, the apartment bears a similar futuristic feel of Bruce Willis’s Character Corbin Dallas’s apartment in the film.

Whatever his inspiration we love his innovative approach to creating space while maintaining a harmonious design.

We especially liked the warm yellow hue used in the 3 long glass windows which make it seem like the sun is always shinning.  A great example of how a few windows with tinted glass can change the look and feel of any room.
